Hello ! My name is Karla Saenz and I am the newest addition to St. Adelaide Academy staff. I am the TK teacher. So far, I am having a great time getting to know your children. I am looking forward to sitting down with all of you at the end of the month during parent-teacher meetings. My goal is to confidently look at all your children at the end of this school year and tell them they are ready to conquer Kindergarten!
A little about myself.......
Before becoming a teacher, I was a travel agent for 14 years! I still love to travel and am looking forward to having a wonderful vacation with my familiy and friends this summer (for the first time in a couple of years!) After so many years of working in the travel industry, I decided to slow down and return to school. I attended Chaffey College where I studied Early Childhood Education. During this time I worked at some super fun hotels.... Great Wolf Lodge and Disneyland Hotel! I grew up and lived most of my life in the Chino area. I was a parishoner at St. Paul the Apostle in Chino Hills, where I taught Pre-K and 3rd year First communion as a catechist. I moved to this area 3 years ago and taught at Kinder Care.
On a personal note, I am married with 2 children. I have a son who is in the US Marines and a fast -running daughter in high school. We love getting away on vacation, visiting museums, and watching movies as a family. I love to cook and I'm an adventurous foodie. Dreaming about food and travel is my favorite pastime. My guilty obsession: Reality TV, especially competition shows like Survivor and Amazing Race.
Lastly, I cannot tell you how happy I was when I picked up the bulletin after mass and saw that St Adelaide Academy was looking for a preschool teacher. I truly believe that God has brought me here and my heart is filled with joy. New year, new adventures.
