My name is Heather Guereca. I have been teaching in the San Bernardino Diocese since 2015 after volunteering in classrooms from preschool to junior high school for six years. I have taught in both third and fourth grades and love the spirit that they bring to class each day. I value my relationships with God and my family and want to share those values and respect with each of the students.
This year we will be focusing on building relationships, social interaction, multiplication, writing, and reading comprehension. I am looking forward to preparing students to make their First Holy Communion. It is such a blessing to be able to share these moments with all of you.
I welcome questions and like to have open communication to work together for each student's success. Please feel free to contact me via Brightwheel.
God Bless, Heather Guereca

Happy New Year! Oh my goodness- the rest of our year together is going to fly by. We will begin preparing for our first Communion on Fridays by learning the parts of the Mass. I sent a save the date on Brighwheel- May 20th is the Retreat from 9 am - 12 pm. June 3rd at 10 am is First Communion Day. Please make sure Ms. Hall has copies of Baptism Certificates if students will also be making their First Reconciliation this year.
We will be doing STAR testing this month. Please refer to the calendar for important dates. Make sure students eat healthy and get a good nights sleep.
Multiplication tests will continue and build starting at the 2's this week. Book reports will continue as well. This way I know students are taking AR tests monthly.
I hope your break was restful and filled with blessings.
Love and Miss you! Mrs. G

I can't stress how important it is to check Gradelink on a weekly basis. I hope you all are doing so.

October!
It is festival month! We are looking forward to family and fellowship at our festival on October 8th and 9th. Thank ypou for your donations and volunteering to help our parish and school.
October book reports went home. This is a great opportunity for STUDENTS to show their creativity and demonstrate their writing skills. Please support them by helping their vision come to a pumpkin head.
October 27th we will celebrate October birthdays at 2:15
On October 31st, students may wear costumes to school. Our Halloween parade is at 8:15- please join us! We will have a party in the afternoon.
Please make sure to check the calendar and that you are on Brighwheel for all of the latest classroom updates.
First Week Of School Updates
1. Please make sure you are signed up on Brightwheel. This and Gradelink will be my main communication sources.
2. I will be sending text books home to be covered on Tuesday(8/23). They must be returned on Thursday (8/25).
3. I purchase Sparkeletts water for my classroom. This helps us reduce waste and saves space in our classroom. Students need to bring thier own refillable water bottles to school daily. I don't have cups or back up water bottles.
4. With 18 students, that is 18 birthday parties which cut into our class time. There is so much to learn in 3rd grade and we move quickly! Therefore, we will have monthly birthday parties on the last Friday of each month at 2:15 to celebrate that months birthdays. I am looking for a "Birthday Party Chair" to help with organizing this. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested.
So....Friday August 26th we will have our July and August birthday party. Please contact me if you would like to donate items.
5. PE is on Tuesday and Thursday. Students must wear a PE t-shirt and SAA bottoms. PE bottoms must have the logo.
6. I am a stickler for dress code. Please make sure you review the dress code and help the students stay in compliance. Shoes and socks should only be navy, black, or white. Not all 3 or any other color.
