Hello, my name is Mrs. Fishburn. I have been a 4th grade teacher for 20 years. I have taught English to foreign exchange students for the past 15 years and also have been a host parent. Here are a few things to get to know me: I love spending time with my family. I enjoy reading adventure books. My favorite beverage is coffee and my other favorite is 3 Musketeers chocolate. My lifetime favorite animal is the elephant.
WELCOME
As of March 2nd, we have now entered the season of Lent on the Liturgical calendar. During the season of Lent our attention turns to the events that led to the Passion and death of Jesus. Lent is a time of self reflection as we are to focus our efforts on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. It is also a time to "turn away from sin and believe in the Gospel". I encourage all of our school families to pray the Rosary daily with your family. Offer prayers for your deceased family members & friends. The Rosary is a very powerful prayer based on Scripture that focuses on the life of Jesus. Extraordinary blessings & graces come from God through the prayer of the Rosary. The school will also be offering the "Stations of the Cross" in the Church @ 8:15am on Thursdays during Lent.
Coming up in Math will be focusing on multiplication and division. Please review with your child the times table so they wil have the confidence needed to succeed. Literature lessons will focus on Inside Nature, Social Studies will be focusing on Mexicoo's Independence, Science will be focusing on Energy. I am here everyday to work together and I like to have open communication.
You are going to LOVE sending your student to St. Adelaide Academy!
Blessings,
Mrs. Fishburn
