My name is Teashia Lopez and I have been teaching for the Diocese of San Bernardino for 35 years. One of the highlights of my life is being blessed to have taught Kindergarten for 23 years in the Catholic school I attended when I was younger. My class motto is, "Don't be afraid to make mistakes; we learn from them."
Happy 2023! May this new year be filled with health, peace, and happiness.
In early January, students will be taking the STAR Test in Math and Early Literacy. We also will be celebrating Catholic School's Week 2023, "Walking Together in Faith & Love." During this week, our school will focus on the value of Catholic educuation, and will include activities for students, families, and community members.
What are we learning:
Religion: We will be learning ways to show respect to everyone we meet. We will also learn about the life of Mother Teresa, along with the healing acts of Jesus.
Reading: We will be discussing sequence of events in a story. We will be identifying the main topic of a text. We will learn how to write declarative sentences. We will also learn to read and write words with L blends.
Math: We will be learning how to read, interpret, and complete bar, picture and tally graphs.
Science: We will be learning and writing about the season of Winter using details.
Social Studies: We will be reviewing and writing about why we have rules in school, at home, and in the community.
Blessings,
Mrs. Lopez
