My name is Frank Beltran and I am the 8th grade teacher here at St. Adelaide Academy. I have been teaching here at St. Adelaide's for twelve years. I am currently teaching Religion for all of Middle School & I teach 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies.
Happy Graduation Class of 2023!
We have many activities going on in May and the month signals that we are very close to the end of the school year. The month of May is devoted to Our Lord’s Mother, Mary, who is an example for us on how to follow the Will of God. She said “yes” to God’s plan for her life, which was to be the mother of his Son, Jesus. We will honor her by our traditional May Crowning on Friday, May 19th. Pray the rosary with your family and let Mary bring you to her Son, Jesus.
We also have many pre-graduation activities going on before graduation on June 2nd. Eighth grade will be completing their Exit Projects, take final exams, go on their class trip to Universal Studios, receive a prayerful “sending off” as they go on their retreat/BBQ & then Graduate. It’s a very busy but exciting time as our 8th graders go on to high school. I wish them a restful summer and many blessing for their new school year in the Fall.
Our academic focus this year will be on preparing your student for high school. High school can be challenging time both academically and socially. If your student has been here at St Adelaide Academy for a few years, your student has been taught the value of our Student Learning Expectations (SLE's).
As St. Adelaide mustangs we strive for academic excellence through a faith based approach. We stive to become "Faithful Catholic Christians"(growth in our identity as Catholic Christians), Responsible Citizens of God's World" (We are caretakers & stewards of all that God has created), & "Effective Lifelong Learners"( We live out the truth that we never stop learning). Later in the Spring your student will be able to demonstrate the three aspects of this approach through their 8th Grade Exit Project.
I look forward to an exciting year with your students as we prepare them for high school. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Mr. Frank Beltran
